Turning one!!!
This little beauty had just turned one when I met her - recently enough to keep telling me how old she is by holding up one little finger!!! So incredibly adorable!!! I could have stayed and photographed her all day (and hung out with her super cool parents too) but after a while in the snow she grew cold and we had to call it quits. However in that half hour I had in the park with her I think I snapped more keepers than ever before in such a small span of time!!! She’s just such a perfect little model!!! I sure hope I get to watch her grow!!!
Christmas photos!
Following my lovely week away, I came home and worked straight through a very busy family photo season. This kicked off with 2 gorgeous little girls, who, again, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing several times! This session was for Christmas letter purposes – to show the world how much they’ve grown! And have they ever!!! Too fast in fact, but more beautiful with each passing day!
The Lovely Perry Family… expecting again!
Between Thunder Bay and my next trip – I was home for 2 days… long enough to squeeze in my son’s third birthday party and one prenatal session! Meet Erin! She’s nearly 9 months pregnant here (yes… we waited until the last minute) and she looks AMAZING!!! Now this family has graced my blog several times over, and in this particular session they looked as wonderful as ever! Can’t wait to share the news and the photos of their new bundle soon!!! Hmmmmmm…. Will it be a boy or a girl??? We’ll all have to wait to find out! Including Mom & Dad!!!
Tbay to visit my best bud and her new baby boy!!!
November was a fun month for me… I took a little break after working hard on weddings throughout the summer and early fall and embarked on a couple of little vacations. The first trip landed me in Thunder Bay, to visit my best friend of about 15 years and to meet her 4month old baby! Now, this little one has more hair than any other baby I’ve ever photographed, and seriously – he was born with it!!!!! Adorable! I love you Kat & Dave, and now little Callum too! xxx
The Springmans
This family is always such a treat to photograph… this is the third year in a row I’ve done their annual family portraits and the gorgeous little girls melt me every time with their stunning looks and infectious smiles!!! Oh, and mom and dad are awesome too!!! This time though they challenged me as they wanted me to work inside their home… something I typically shy away from. But, they were wonderfully accommodating as I completely rearranged the living room multiple times and it left us with a look very unique from previous years. Thanks guys!!! You’re so wonderful!

Another lovely fun family!!! A camera shy little guy (to start) and a little girl who LOVES the camera!!! A baby who couldn’t be any sweeter, and behind it all, mom and dad who are not only good-looking, but easy and fun to work with despite the chaos of young children and challenging weather!!! Hyde Family
This was a well organized shoot… everything was perfectly organized weeks in advance as one of the family members was in town for only a few days… what we didn’t plan for though was the weather! We had to modify a little from our original plan, but the end result was perfect!!! We managed to get a warmish day and an amazing snowy setting to work with! Just magical, especially given it was only mid-October! Thanks for all your patience and for being so willing to be outside in the snow! I’m so glad I got to meet and work with you all… you’re a lovely family!

I love this family!!! They’re so happy… all the time!!! I met the baby girl when she was just a couple days old and mom looked as refreshed and happy as ever!!! No wonder the kids are so great! Awesome upbeat parents!!! Anyway……. a super fun fall family session complete with tossing tons of leaves and playing on the train tracks! Thanks for having me out to do your session you guys! Bullivant Family
I was lucky enough to do family photos for this family last year when the little one was just a few weeks old! They’ve grown so much in a few short months - the “baby” is now almost walking and the young man has grown, like, 3 feet!!!!! It was a fun session (as was last years) with an aspiring model and a future photographer in the group! I can’t take credit for all the ideas here - there was a lot of input! Thanks for the all the creative help guys, and congrats again on such a wonderful family! I hope I get to continue to watch you all grow as the years go on!
Fun big group, and 2 super cute babies!
Last week I had a chance to photograph the family of a former client of mine! It was such a pleasure to see her again and meet the “in-laws!”
They were a great group, and to make it even better… two adorable little babies were part of it! I’m such a sucker for cute little ones!!
Better late than never.
I am so far behind on blogging!!! This poor family has been waiting over a week just to see their previews! This was a really neat session - I was asked to do a session in someone’s back yard and at first I was a little concerned as to how much space and how scenic the yard would be. Well, as it turns out, the yard was stunning, scenic, and enormous! It was like having our own private park!!! This family had never had family photos taken before and were so excited to get these done! Thanks for waiting so patiently!!!
One HOT family!
This family was super hot… the little dude actually had his hair slicked and messed to match daddy’s!!! This little guy entertained us with everything from adorable pouty faces to a heart-melting smile to a cool balance trick! Although you may not have realized it at the time… you all totally rocked this session!!!

Adorable little twin brothers!
These 2 are just so adorable!!! We had a great photo session on the weekend - even through the blazing heat! The little men had a great time swinging, learning to walk, and eating leaves!!! Another special baby
Another cool part of doing what I do… I so frequently get to photograph special moments in the lives of those I love! This precious little baby is the son of a dear friend of mine… you guys sure make gorgeous kids!!! Congrats Jon and Stefanie!!!!! He’s just perfect!
Chris & Melodie’s Wedding… Part 1
Melodie and Chris celebrated their union on Saturday in a lovely garden ceremony performed by Melodie’s father. This wedding is particularly close to my heart as Melodie is an old friend from junior high whom I had lost touch with for many years. Thanks to modern technology we have reconnected and I felt so honored to capture this special day for them and be such a big part of the day. It was beautiful, simple, full of love, and tons of fun. This is going to be a 3-part post because there were just so many images to choose from I couldn’t get it down to just a few! Melodie and Chris - here’s wishing you as much fun and happiness for the rest of your lives as Saturday brought to you both. Congrats! You are a perfect match!!!
Birthday Gift for Mom
This session was given as a gift for mom/grandma. Now, normally I love posting some black and white as I have a bit of a bias in that direction, but, this session was absolutely the “greenest” session I’ve had after a long brown winter and I was so excited to finally have some color!!! Gorgeous family! Beautiful dog and congrats on your newest member!!! I hope this gift is a treasured one!
A new addition! And what a cute one…
This particular family is totally picture perfect! All 4 of them look just amazing in photos! Baby D was welcomed to the family about 5 weeks ago and is every bit as handsome as a baby boy could be! This session also included his helpful and proud big sister! I promised myself I would stop posting the “baby hanging from daddy’s arm” shot on here, but I just loved this one so much I couldn’t help it - the little one is almost smiling and I’m just loving daddy’s tattooed arms and the contrast they give to the tiny child he’s holding!

I was invited to the home of this gorgeous baby girl to do some newborn shots and what a little sweetie!!! She is absolutely adorable and the family is stunning! Can’t really say much more than that! Gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS family!!! Congrats on your precious new little bundle!
New beginnings and old friends…
Baby Chera came into the world 6 weeks ago to parents that couldn’t be happier! This was a beautiful photoshoot in very conflicting ways - a new life and a new beginning with a beautiful babe and her parents, but they also asked me to photograph their old friend Greta who likely won’t be with the family much longer. I hope I managed to capture some memories for you, new and old!
Markus turns one!!!
Where has a whole year gone??? I photographed his mom’s very pregnant belly and it feels like that was just yesterday! This handsome little man is no stranger to the camera - this is the 3rd photo session I’ve had with him already - definitely an upcoming model! Those beautiful big eyes and sweet cheeks help too! Baby Owen!
Introducing… Owen! This little peanut is not only a cutie… he’s also my first nephew! So, of course, I had to stick him in front of the camera as soon as I was allowed!!! Owen was born a month premature at barely more than 5 pounds and had a rough start, but here he is at 4 weeks - a healthy and happy newborn! Thanks Owen for being such a patient model as I stuck you in all kind of places babies wouldn’t normally be found! Congratulations Murray and Laura!!!
